Changemark has been fortunate and grateful to partner with so many incredible organizations making change in their communities. Thank you to our clients for sharing their experience!
We were seeking a qualitative interviewer to conduct interviews with emergency room staff at two hospitals in our region. The project was gathering information around working with patients in emergency that have substance use or mental health challenges. Jill made a valuable contribution to this project from start to finish. She was easy to work with, was reliable, skilled, and generated a high-quality report for our leadership summarizing the findings from this project.
I would recommend Changemark in a heartbeat. The contractor assigned to this work was more than a program evaluator for Employ to Empower; she brought compassion, attention to detail and empathy to her process and it was very much needed in an organization like ours that values trauma-informed leadership. What impressed me the most is her background in working with populations who face barriers and took initiative to ensure that language was accessible to the community and put extra thought beyond simply designing documents - she was the perfect combination of heart and muscle.
As well, the pricing was more than reasonable for a grassroots, local charity like mine. I'm really pleased with my experience with Changemark!
I appreciated the passion and dedication the Changemark team brought to the project we worked on together. They really communicated their desire to deliver a product that would be useful for our organization and showed that they understood the importance of and cared about this work throughout the project.
Our group was in need of copy-editing services for a technical guide, Changemark assigned a contractor to this work who was professional, friendly and understood our needs right away. She did an excellent job of copy editing our material and communicated with us throughout the process. It was a pleasure to work with professionals who not only do excellent technical editing but also understand the purpose of our work and can provide informed advice.
We hired Changemark to manage a nationwide research program that developed interventions to treat youth with co-occurring psychosis and cannabis use. Working with Changemark on this project was a true pleasure and they added tremendous value to our research. After the experience we had on this project, we hired them again for some of our biggest and most ambitious projects. They are now responsible for the development, project management and implementation of our two national trials evaluating mobile health interventions for youth with psychosis and co-occurring cannabis use.
Due to Changemarks extensive experience with clinical trials, specifically in the area of substance use combined with their outstanding performance and professionalism on previous jobs, we have once again hired them for regulatory and project management services for a multi-centre clinical trials evaluating the efficacy of a pharmaceutical and engagement based contingency management in the treatment of methamphetamine use disorder.
Changemark was again hired to lead knowledge translation and dissemination activities for a large-scale national trial evaluating the efficacy of opioid agonist treatment for prescription opioid use disorder. This also includes a nationwide knowledge transfer event bringing together stakeholders from the Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse. Changemark consistently delivers innovative solutions to challenges that arise on various projects, bringing rigor and agility as the needs of our projects evolve over time. Over the years our collaboration with Changemark has become vital to support and maintain the high standards of research that we strive to achieve at the CHUM.
Kilala Lelum Health Centre is an Indigenous primary care and cultural services provider in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside. We were seeking out a program evaluator with both addictions research experience and experience working in partnership with Indigenous peoples and were extremely happy to have contracted Jill Fikowski. Jill has very much become a part of our team. She understands the importance of investing in relationships, participating in cultural activities, and of stepping back in allyship in the context of working in a decolonizing health centre. She is functioning both as research manager for a prospective cohort study and a program evaluator. She has also assisted with grant writing and knowledge sharing planning. She is incredibly efficient, responsible and self-directed. She provides great leadership to the junior research team members. Jill has become part of our family at Kilala Lelum and I would highly recommend her to other Indigenous focused organizations.
Aïssata was instrumental in all phases of an implementation science project working to implement provision of take-home naloxone and initiation of opioid agonist treatment in emergency departments for people with opioid use disorder. As a senior research management professional, she effectively managed all phases of the project, from hiring, training, and supervising staff to managing contracts and stewarding the reporting process.
Aissata was indispensable in finding solutions to barriers at all stages, from project design, pre-implementation, implementation, and data collection through analysis and publication of results. Our work was immeasurably aided by the comprehensive financial forecast she provided. Throughout the project, she was straightforward, efficient, and knowledgeable. Aïssata championed the project from start to finish, and was a delight to work with.
Prior to joining BCIT, I worked for a post-secondary institute that was in search of a researcher with a successful history in grant and proposal writing, someone who was innovative, culturally sensitive and was genuinely interested in, and committed to creating opportunities for Indigenous people through education. We hired Jill to re-design a career exploration and post-secondary transition program for Indigenous learners that, at the time, needed a complete review, assessment and restructuring. Jill quickly demonstrated that she was a positive addition to the team, the quality of her work is incredible. Throughout the project, Jill worked closely with our Indigenous leaders and stakeholder groups and maintained a clear understanding and utmost respect for everyone’s role and contribution to the project. I was completely satisfied with the end result, so when a similar research opportunity arose at my new job, Jill was highly recommended. Today, she and Lizzy have begun on a similar project at BCIT.
We highly recommend A.J. Lowik as a consultant for trans-inclusive research. As the Gender Equity Advisory for the Centre for Gender and Sexual Health Equity, A.J. supported our two longitudinal cohort studies to implement important changes to enhance gender-inclusivity in our quantitative questionnaires. A.J. has been responsive, thorough and professional in their approach and creates a supportive and welcoming environment to discuss complex and important issues related to measurement of gender identity and trans health. A.J. demonstrates enthusiasm and passion for trans-inclusive research as well as an extensive breadth of knowledge and expertise, working efficiently and independently to help achieve research goals. We continue to learn so much and very much enjoy working with A.J. as a Gender Equity Advisor. Thank you A.J.!
I have worked with Jill for 5 years and have contracted her services out for the past 3 years to provide services on clinical trial protocol development for cannabis, and project management on a series of multi-centre trials involving mobile health interventions for youth with psychosis who use cannabis. Jill is an incredibly strong leader and her ability to engage and motivate teams, and the clinical sites participating in the trials is outstanding. The quality of her work is high and so is her ability work with team members. I will continue to work with her on studies and value very much the experience she brings to the team and her collaborative work style.
Our organization worked with Changemark Research + Evaluation on the qualitative analysis of two survey evaluation questions. The report provided by Kate was very thorough and detailed. She provided thoughtful insights, and a summary based on the questions asked. Jill and Kate were both patient and flexible with us, and overall easy to work with.
I can’t say enough about what a pleasure it has been to work with the Changemark team. They jumped in on short notice. With this being our maiden voyage in clinical trials, their ‘can do’ way of being immediately neutralized our stress levels. They met us where we were at (making the process practical and understandable) and had a mentorship mindset from day one. There was no question or challenge left unaddressed. Every step was done with high integrity and relationships were always put first. It felt like they had our best interests in mind from day one. As a non-profit, and university representative, I am cautious of how I steward the funds in my care – and on numerous occasions, suggestions were made that would provide efficiencies (even if it meant less funds going their way). Finally, perhaps most importantly, it felt like working among friends.
Turning Point Recovery Society has had the pleasure of working with Changemark for the past year to develop and update our policies and evaluation and measurement tools. They have taken the time to fully understand our business, our industry, and our specific challenges. Throughout the process, they have asked insightful questions and provided valuable feedback to help us refine our policies and ensure that they are aligned with sector best and emerging practice. Our experience has been nothing short of exceptional. Their expertise, professionalism, and commitment to excellence are extremely valued. I would highly recommend Changemark, they have consistently exceeded our expectations.
We engaged Changemark seeking qualitative analysis services for an Injectable opioid agonist treatment study. The analyst we worked with was outstanding, professional, great fit for the team, knowledgeable, cooperative, and produced exceptional work products. We have since re-engaged Changemark for additional work and look forward to continued partnership on future research.
The mentorship has been instrumental in guiding our leadership team in effectively managing policies and budgets that align with the goals of our clinic. The consultant is flexible and easy to work with, making every collaboration a smooth and productive experience. Her expertise has empowered us to develop clear policies that ensure consistency and compliance while maintaining flexibility to adapt to evolving needs. We highly recommend Changemark for mentorship in helping to better maximize efficiency without compromising quality.
