Madeleine is a public health research consultant based (for now) in Montreal (Tiohti:áke) situated on the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka nation. She is a dynamic and community minded MSc. Global Health graduate who is passionate about improving health equity for populations in situations of vulnerability.

Madeleine has experience working on a variety of projects in global health promotion and substance use research both locally and internationally, particularly supporting the development and implementation of health programs and strengthening capacities in health systems. Wanting to apply her global health equity perspective to the country she calls home, Madeleine approaches her work and relationships with an empathy and desire to connect with people of all backgrounds and places.

Recent highlights of Madeleine’s work include contributing to planning and implementation of knowledge translation strategies for a national research trial on injectable opioid agonist treatment. She has lead the design and development of an assessment tool to build capacities in health promotion systems and worked in the planning, communications, and delivery of a variety of health education and knowledge translation events such as webinars and conferences. Approaching her work with a creative eye, Madeleine has experience adapting her public health knowledge to communications and information design to improve the accessibility and delivery of health solutions. 

Known by her peers as Maddie, she spends her time offline being active, meeting new people, or concocting her next big adventure.
