Knowledge Translation and Communication
Justine is an editor and designer living and working with gratitude in the unceded ancestral territories of the toq qaymɩxʷ (Klahoose), ɬəʔamɛn qaymɩxʷ (Tla’amin), and Xwémalhkwu (Homalco) Nations. With a focus on plain language and accessibility, her passion lies in helping people who are helping others.
Recent highlights include design and development of a long-form anti-hate toolkit for Canadian classrooms, editing and development of community based research summaries, and creating user friendly and effective web experiences. Justine has a passion for supporting non-profit organizations and community groups specifically in the areas of mental health, substance use, and social justice.
Justine champions the responsibility of design professionals to do what they can to help fight ableism. Accessibility helps everyone, yet it’s often overlooked in the design process. Therefore, Justine strives to create beautiful, accessible, and inclusive print and digital products right from the get-go.
When Justine is not partnering with incredible companies like Changemark, she keeps busy in the garden and enjoys a quiet island life.
